Cafe van Beeren

Café van Beeren is an Amsterdam brown café on the Nieuwendijk in Amsterdam, in the heart of the city centre. The building has a classic art deco look with original stained glass windows and a beautiful wooden facade finish. The interior honors the architecture of the building and our challenge was to develop a graphic design concept that fits in seamlessly with this. We let the squares of the stained glass come back in the graphic tool box as a leading pattern. We then applied this to all deliverables. We have also made various illustrations that are appropriate for the different times of the day in the catering industry and processed them on the menus, among other things.
